V – Day Family Fun Run: Celebrating diversity with family

In conjunction with Volunteer Day that falls on December 4th this year, more than 100 participants from the community together with Vale volunteers took part in V-day Family Fun Run. The fun run took place in Vale Eco Centre and kick started as early as 6.30 AM with registration and warm up session. Special appearance by Bumblebee character from Transformers made the event livelier and capture the attention of the participants especially the children. The flag off was done by our Sustainability Manager, Puan Sarimah Talib. For the fun run, participants need to run 2.5 kilometers trail and complete 4 checkpoints:

· Check point 1: Building sand castle
· Check point 2: Obstacle course
· Check point 3: Mindgame
· Check point 4: Family Telematches

Besides inculcating the value of diversity, the fun run objective is to also strengthen the bond between family and friends, respect individual differences irrespective of race, ethnicity, origin, beliefs, condition of unionization, generation, social class, gender, sexual orientation, educational level or disability.
